Fasting Recipes

If you have committed to "The Daniel Fast" here is a list of foods you may go by.

Whole Grains: brown rice, oats, rolled oats, oatmeal, barley, corn, popcorn, wheat.









Legumes: dried beans, pinto beans, split peas, lentils, black eyed peas, green beans, green peas, peanuts, etc. Grain legumes include beans, lentils, lupins, peas and peanuts
(includes natural peanut butter).

Fruits: apples, apricots, avocados, bananas, berries, blackberries, blueberries, boysenberries, breadfruit, cantaloupe, cherries, coconuts, cranberries, dates, figs, grapefruit, grapes, grenadine, guava, honeydew melons, kiwi, lemons, limes, mangoes, melons, mulberries, nectarines, oats, olives, oranges, papayas, peaches, pears, pineapples, plums, prunes, raisins, raspberries, strawberries, tangelos, tangerines, watermelon, etc.












Vegetables: artichokes, asparagus, beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chili peppers, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, ginger root, kale, leeks, lettuce, mushrooms, mustard greens, okra, onions, parsley, any peppers, any potatoes, radishes, rutabagas, scallions, spinach, sprouts, squashes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, yams, zucchini, etc.











Seeds: all nuts, natural peanut butter, natural almond butter, sprouts, ground flax, all whole grain products, etc.

Liquids: spring water, distilled water, filtered water, 100% all natural fruit or vegetable juices.
    21 Day Daniel Fast Recipes
    
    Veggie Chili Recipe for 21 Day Daniel Fast
    4 cans of Chili Beans Choose between kidney beans, pinto beans, black beans (I prefer mixing cans)
    3 Cans of Green Chilies and Tomatoes
    3 Fresh Tomatoes
    1 Celery Stalk
    1 Onion
    1 Green Pepper
    Extra Virgin Olive Oil 100% natural whole grain brown rice (Optional)
    1 ½ Packet of Chili Powder Seasoning (For Spicy Lovers) Add more to taste!!!
    Fresh Onions and Jalapeños (For Topping)
    Preparation:
    Dices Onions, Bell Peppers & Celery. Note: After Dicing onions, set some aside for topping.
    Drain and Rinse your beans (Only) Sautee’ 1 Celery Stalk, 1 Onion, Green Pepper in Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  After that sautee' for a few mins. add the tomatoes and then add the sautee’ mixture to the pot.
    Allow to Simmer on slow for an hour.
    Cook Brown Rice (Optional for serving with Chili)
    Optional Items you can include to your chili..
    Zucchini, Corn, Whole Grain Tortilla's
