Fasting For Breakthrough

Fasting For Breakthrough...
I sincerely believe most Breakthrough's occur in the Spirit before they manifest in the natural. In other words what we see in the natural is a direct reflection of what has happened in the Spirit Realm or is happening in the Spirit Realm.

While you are fasting continue to lay before the Lord your expected end. What do you want this fast to accomplish? Please be sure that your desires align according to the will of the Father. Write them down and journal them. Trust me, if your desires don't align according to the will of the Father some point in the fast they will. Smile  Fasting allows our heart to become so soft and open to God. We also find ourselves becoming very humble before the Lord and yielding to his will, and eventually his will becomes our will.

Be very specific.......

Many of you are Fasting because you really need a mighty move from God and you are seeking Breakthrough in different areas of your life.

Again, you have to be specific about the end result, yet mindful that your main focus is not on
"The Breakthrough" you are seeking yet your main focus will be on developing a deeper and more intimate relationship with the father while also keeping your heart pure before him.

Let us start by defining what Breakthrough Means.

break·through
1.
a military movement or advance all the way through and beyond an enemy's front-line defense.
2.
an act or instance of removing or surpassing an obstruction or restriction; the overcoming of a stalemate: The president reported a breakthrough in the treaty negotiations.
3.
any significant or sudden advance, development, achievement, or increase, as in scientific knowledge or diplomacy, that removes a barrier to progress: The jet engine was a major breakthrough in air transport.

POWERFUL isn't it?

My definition of Breakthrough pertaining to Spiritual Things is this...

When God Breaks You Through...

Through What?

What ever it is that is holding you back, whatever it is that is keeping you from walking in all he has for you or whatever it is that is keeping you from accomplishing that which God desires for you to accomplish.

God desires to Break you through hindrances, dangerous mindsets, heart issues, wounds of the past, others peoples opinions, a troubled marriage, etc. This list can continue so no matter the struggle or trouble God can deliver.

As I studied the definition on Breakthrough the word enemy leaped off the page. When I think about the word Enemy what comes to mind is someone or something that may be harmful to us or cause us harm. Fasting will cause our enemy's to be put under subjection allowing us to move free, & unhindered while we enter into a place where stagnation doesn't remain. As you continue to yield yourself through fasting and praying, identify the enemy or enemies in your life and understand that there is nothing too hard for God. He is a God of the Impossible.

Jeremiah 32:17 (King James Version)

Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

Earlier, I stated that most Breakthrough's occur in the Spirit before they manifest in the natural. It is very wise to seek God for insight if there are any hidden things that may be hindering your breakthrough from manifesting in the natural. Ask God these questions....

What's holding me back?
What's hindering me?
What's stifling me?
Keep these things before the Lord while you are fasting. Remember, the revelation that you receive about what could be hindering you from stepping into your breakthrough could be the vital insight you need to become free in the area you are seeking freedom.

  2. Being a military woman, the first definition of breakthrough resonated with me. We, as sailors, are taught, "to defend our country against all enemies foreign and domestic". To me, my enemies are both foreign because they are not of God, and domesic because they affect my personal as well as family life. Through the "discomforts" of fasting, I'll be comforted by the Lord knowing that He is right there with me.

I just tryed to have a relatioship with God in December 2012 and I am stuck and lost because I've ben trying hard to read my word, pray, and I pay my tithings every sunday I even go to church every sunday and go to bible study every wednesday but I still havent fallen in love with God yet and it makes my heart ache. So I'm going to try fasting and praying see what happens.

    1. Sweetie you better claim that testimony regardless of if you see it or not...the more you claim it,soon you will start to see it too.Regarding your falling in love with God,give it some time. After you see Him take you through things you couldnt do,you best believe you will fall in love with Him.Dont force it,it will just happen.Ask God to fill you with His love to open your spiritual eyes to see His love and your heart to feel His love.He will. The Lord shows His love for us through others too so keep your eyes open.God Bless

  5. Hullo, am Andrew Buligwanga. I have been struggling to make a past relationship realised again. However, my Pastor tells me that all will be well again if I acknowledge my love and committment to the one I love before God. I have done that but am thinkng that fasting will be another way of making my promise to God and the one I love, so I am now going for it. Hopefully, my breakthrough will come to pass soon.

  6. Hello. My name is Carol. I'm so confused. I've been engaged for 3 years and we postpone the wedding because my Mom became ill and I had to move in with her . My fiancee and I were in the process of buying a house but we postponed it because of my situation. However he went ahead and got the house anyway. I am angry and hurt because I'm not going to leave my Mom. She need me. Now he's acting brand new. Is it selfish for me to fast and pray about him or should I just let it go knowing that God is in control.????? I welcome comments. I've never fast before is this a good reason?
