I Need A Breakthrough

Breakthrough
I sincerely believe most Breakthrough's occur in the Spirit before they manifest in the natural. In other words, what we see in the natural is a direct reflection of what has happened in the Spirit Realm or is currently happening in the Spirit Realm.

In order for us to achieve Breakthrough, Sacrifices are expected! Before we take a look at the definition and meaning of breakthrough, let us start first by examining the definition of sacrifice.

In addition, moments of “Great Sacrifice” are inevitable for us to accomplish the will of God! Moments of “Great Sacrifice” are needed in order for us to achieve breakthrough! If it was EASY, it would not be called a Sacrifice.

The definition of Sacrifice is.
a. The act of offering something to a deity in propitiation or homage, especially the ritual slaughter of an animal or a person.
b. A victim offered in this way.
a. Forfeiture of something highly valued for the sake of one considered to have a greater value or claim.
b. Something so forfeited.
a. Relinquishment of something at less than its presumed value.
b. Something so relinquished.
c. A loss so sustained.

Take a closer look at one of the definitions, forfeiture of something highly valued for the sake of one considered to have a greater value or claim. As you know, we need food to survive because food is such an important part of the process of life! During fasting, the sacrifice comes when we give up the food that we normally consume on a daily or a consistent basis. Food that we can do without, but because of our bodies craving it makes it that much more difficult to ignore the urge to eat what we desire. Generally, when we fast whether it is a Daniel Fast or a Fast during a few hours (even if we partake) in some sort of food, we don’t eat things such as sweets or meats or foods that are good to the flesh, otherwise it wouldn’t be a fast. “Hence the Sacrifice” because we have a specific end in mind and that specific end is the reason why we are fasting! It is so easier said than done and especially while reading this portion of the book you may feel like you have the power to partake in a 21 Day Fast even a 40 Day Fast! Then someone invite you out for lunch or dinner, or you go over someone’s home and the kitchen is full of aromas and cooking some of the food you can’t have. You then realize you are on a fast and not everything is a “Free for all.” You get my point. Oh, Yes! You better be reminded that with fasting comes “Great Sacrifice”! However, also be reminded that with great sacrifice comes great reward and breakthrough!

Achieving Breakthrough is Not Always Easy!
At times, there will be Great Resistance!
Pressure must be applied!

While you are fasting, continue to lay before the Lord your expected end. What do you want this fast to accomplish? Please be sure your desires align according to the will of the Father. Write them down and journal them. Trust me, if your desires do not align according to the will of the Father some point in the fast they will. Fasting allows our heart to become so soft and open to God. We also find ourselves becoming very humble before the Lord and yielding to his will, and eventually his will becomes our will.

Remember when Jesus was on the Cross and he said, “Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” Luke 22:42
Such a beautiful example here because it shows what the flesh wanted to do BUT the will of the spirit won! The will of the spirit was stronger and overcame with such Power and Victory!

Be very specific...
Write down what you want The Lord to do! Write down your expected end! Write down the purpose of the fast! In the book of Habakkuk, it states to write the vision and make it plain. There is something about writing things down. Even in the natural, it has been proven that those who write down their personal goals are more than likely to achieve them than those who do not.

And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2

Also, remember fasting is a decision! You make a decision that you are going to fast or you make a decision you are not. It is a personal choice! It is a personal decision! Just as Salvation is a personal decision, fasting is as well. For those who may partake in a corporate fast meaning you may be asked to fast without initiating it yourself. It still is a personal choice even if you decide to partake in it on a Corporate Level! One thing I have learned about decisions is this, one great decision can change the course or direction of your life just as one bad decision can do the same. Deciding to yield yourself through not only fasting but also the yielding yourself to the process of carrying the fast out is so rewarding! Many of you are Fasting because you really need a mighty move of God and you are seeking Breakthrough in one specific area or different areas of your life.

Again, you have to be specific about the end result, yet mindful that your main focus is not on "The Breakthrough" you are seeking yet your main focus will be on developing a deeper and more intimate relationship with the father while also keeping your heart pure before him.

Let us start by defining what Breakthrough Means.

Break·through 1. a military movement or advance all the way through and beyond an enemy's front-line defense.  2. an act or instance of removing or surpassing an obstruction or restriction; the overcoming of a stalemate: The president reported a breakthrough in the treaty negotiations.  3. any significant or sudden advance, development, achievement, or increase, as in scientific knowledge or diplomacy, that removes a barrier to progress: The jet engine was a major breakthrough in air transport.

POWERFUL isn't it?
My definition of Breakthrough pertaining to Spiritual Things is this...
Breakthrough = When God Breaks You Through!
Through What, You Might Ask?

Whatever it is that is holding you back, whatever it is that is keeping you from walking in all he has for you or whatever it is that is keeping you from accomplishing that which God desires for you to accomplish.

Earlier, I stated that most Breakthroughs’ occur in the Spirit before they manifest in the natural. It is very wise to seek God for insight if there are any hidden things that may be hindering your breakthrough from manifesting in the natural.

Some of you are so close to breakthrough and it is my prayer you will NOT miss your moment!
Can You Smell or Taste Your Breakthrough? Tell me why is it, when you are on the verge of a Breakthrough you can fill it coming. Haven’t you ever had a feeling that someone was about to come over to your home unannounced and you started preparing the home for the person arrival even if they were not going to stay long, you just felt as if someone was coming over unexpected.

Similar to a Breakthrough! Sometimes there is an inner knowing. There have been many times a Breakthrough is on the horizon, you can feel it about to happen, it is in the air and ALL out of the blue you feel it either snatched from you or you see that breakthrough manifest.

Why is it that we can be sensing something great is about to happen and the next thing you know when you turn around it’s gone. The thing about it is this: it never showed up, but you still know you were about to possess something great! It makes you wonder how many Miracles and Breakthroughs we miss huh? That is one of the purposes of this book, and if you implement the teachings within you will prepare yourself so that you do not allow your “soon to be breakthroughs” to become null and void.

FASTING Pushes the Breakthrough Through!
Fasting many times serves as a Catalyst for Speeding up the process.
1. A substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change.
2. A person or thing that precipitates an event
Precipitates
1. To throw from or as if from a great height; hurl downward:
2. To cause to happen, especially suddenly or prematurely.

Keep these things before the Lord while you are fasting. Remember, the revelation that you receive about what could be hindering you from stepping into your breakthrough could be the vital insight you need to become free in the area you are seeking freedom.
Ask yourself these questions…

What’s holding me back?
What’s stealing my Joy?
What’s keeping me from rising?
What’s stifling me?
What’s smothering me?
In what area do I feel bound?

I want you to write them down and be very honest with yourself!

While you are on the fast, ask God to free you in these areas.

Keep these things before the Lord while you are fasting. Remember, the revelation you receive about what could be hindering you from stepping into your breakthrough could be the vital insight you need to become free in the area you are seeking freedom.

God desires to Break you through hindrances, dangerous mindsets, heart issues, wounds of the past, others people’s opinions & limitations others have set on you, even limitations you have placed upon yourself, a troubled marriage, addictions & etc.

This list can continue, no matter the struggle or trouble God can deliver!

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles 17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. Psalm 34

As I studied the definition on Breakthrough, the word enemy leaped off the page. Refer back to the definition as reference point. When I think about the word Enemy what comes to mind is someone or something that may be harmful to us or cause us harm whether they are trying or not. Fasting will cause our enemy's to be put under subjection allowing us to move free, & unhindered while we enter into a place where stagnation doesn't remain. As you continue to yield yourself through fasting and praying, identify the enemy or enemies in your life. These enemies can be in the natural or in the spiritual. It is also wise to pray and ask God to expose enemies who may be lurking (unexposed) due to some hidden or secret attacks to get you off course.

When David cried out to the Lord in Psalm 35 not only was he fighting a spiritual battle he was also contending with those who did not have his best interest at heart (Natural People) whether they were being used by spiritual wickedness or the ungodly desires of their own heart they were still enemies.
