Is my Salvation Secure?

The Ultimate Breakthrough
Salvation

WAIT!!!

Is my Salvation Secure?
This is to “The Believers”!!!

Before you close the book and say, “OH, I am SAVED I don’t need to read any further.” Please stop for a moment and think about your personal salvation. The greatest breakthrough is that of SALVATION! The word of God is true when it states what profits a man to gain the entire world and lose his soul. We can fast and pray until we are blue in the face, but if we don’t have salvation and end up in hell it means nothing.

Many believers will pick up a book and skip over the portion of the book that speaks of salvation, but I felt the Lord wanting me to highlight some very important areas and also make a few points regarding salvation.

The first point I’d like to make is this doctrine.

Once saved always saved
This doctrine has caused  many believers to be lost. Please allow us to review a few passages of scriptures that will shed light on the truth. The enemy would have many deceived and believe this doctrine, and it is for that reason that some who feel as though they are saved do not have their names written in the Lamb’s book of life.

SEE SCRIPTURE REFERENCES BELOW REGARDING
“THE BOOK OF LIFE”

The bible is clear and true when it says, “Work out your Soul Salvation with fear and trembling.” Living a life of Fasting and Prayer will help you STAY SAVED! work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phil 2:12

Yes, Jesus Christ died for our sins that we might have the gift of eternal life, but why would there be sections in the bible with the words, “back sliding” or “return to me” if the once saved always saved doctrine were true.
In other words, it means that we are once or once was a part of, and something has caused us not to be.Why would there be scriptures that make a reference to names being written in the book or names being blotted out of the book? One cannot make it into heaven if their name is not in the book of life.
That is why repentance is so important because if a person finds himself or herself in sin and it is a continual sin where they have not repented before the Lord, this can be a dangerous thing if they continue on in sin and lose their life (before repentance). They could also lose their salvation because they died in their sin. Many churches don’t minister or preach on this but this is scripture, and this is true.

I have read and watched many speak of them being taken to hell (by the grace of God), and there were souls in hell of people who were backslidden believers. In other words, they died in their sin without repentance. They knew the Lord, they had once confessed the Lord, but sin got in somewhere and their life was cut off and they ended up in hell.

Stories will not be mentioned in this book but I’ve seen videos on youtube and have also read about many in the book by Mary K. Baxter, Divine Revelation from Hell, where she was taken to Hell for twenty-one-days, and then Jesus took her to Heaven.

In this book she reveals countless stories about backslidden believers who were there. She also spoke about many preachers and pastors and ministers who had also lost their souls because they died in their sin.

This is SERIOUS!!!
Either your name is in the “Book of Life” or it is not.
There is no in between!

I caution all believers to sincerely cry out to God and asked him this question.
Is my name written in the “Book of Life?” If I was to die today, would I spend eternity with you or would I spend eternity in hell lost forever?

There is no wonder why the enemy uses the doctrine, “Once Saved Always Saved” as a way to lead many to destruction. Though this does not give a person permission to sin, what it does is send a subliminal message that I can sin all I want and still be saved.

Let me paint a picture. If I once was saved, and then I went out and started murdering, cheating, stealing, lying, etc., I would be just okay, and there are no grounds of me losing my salvation. The devil is a Liar! Again, that is why Repentance is a “Daily Act”!

Let us look at a few scriptures pertaining to this.
Rev.3:5: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." We overcome by our faith which is exhibited by faithfulness.
Rev.20:12-15: " Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Exod. 32:33: "And the LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book."
If one dies without forgiveness of their sins their name vanishes out of the record book of life. God is the judge of this as his scale is very different from ours. There are times when grace is released over a person and they may have time to get it right before death, but why gamble with something as precious as a soul.
Ps. 9:5: “You have rebuked the nations, you have destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name forever and ever.”
This may be a hard pill to swallow or even a hard question to ask yourself, but the Word of God is true.
God is asking you on today is your name written in the book?

Some signs of a backslidden state are:

  • Indifference to prayer and self-examination;
  • Trivial or unprofitable talk;
  • Disregard of standards of holiness;
  • Shunning the people of God;
  • Associating with the world;
  • Thinking lightly of sin;
  • Neglect of the Bible;
  • Gross immorality.
Prayer for the Backslider

Our Loving Savior, The Bible says that You will heal our backslidings. I do come to You, because You are the Lord our God, abounding in mercy and slow to anger. Father, the Scripture says that if we return to You, we will be restored. Heal my faithlessness, whatever may be the reason for my backsliding. Forgive my sins so far and restore to me the joy of Your Salvation. You are near to all who call upon You in truth. Send Your Spirit of conviction so that I may confess all my shortcomings to You and You alone. I come with all humility and all my weaknesses to You. Lord, You never despise a broke and a contrite heart. The Scripture says, For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. So Father, accept me once again into Your fold. Father God, Help me so that I do not fall to any temptation, nor depart from You at any cost. Your Word clearly states that it is impossible for carnal man to please You; but the mind controlled by Your Spirit is life and peace. Endow me with Your Holy Spirit that I would live a victorious life. Help me to be Your living testimony. I promise You all glory, honor and praise, now and forever. Amen.
